A few months ago, I came across an article and a free template (99% sure this was all on a MS website) that was related to recruiting and applicant tracking, using Access 2010 and Sharepoint 2010 (the idea was to show Access Services, where the Access databasewas exposed through a sharepoint UI for multiple users and managers).I've just been upgraded to 2010 and would like to play with that template to customize it for my own use, but I have been unable to locate it on the MS website. Does anyone have suggestions on better search terms, or how to tell if the template has beenremoved from the MS website?This is just for my learning (I did some other stuff with earlier versions of Excel and Sharepoint), so I'm not interested in a fully-fledged, paid solution- just the template and maybe the accompanying article that talked about how to integrate it withSharepoint.I appreciate any help, including better search terms than what come to me naturally.Keith. I found that on some of my searches there were zero results for Access 2010. When I removed the search and just browse the Access templates I can see about 2 pages of them for Access 2010, but none of them have to do with recruiting or applicant tracking.Perhaps whatever is causing the search outage is also hiding the template I'm looking for (although I dont' know enough about the site logic to understand how)I'll continue to check their site /and/ monitor this thread until I find that template.Thanks,Keith. I have not been able to find a solution that you mentioned but I will tell you this.When you have a list in sharepoint linking it to an access database just takes a few seconds.We have sharepoint services 3.0 and all I have to do to connect to a database is:.

Open the list. go to actions and select the option to OPEN WITH ACCESS. (This assumes that you have permission to this information. You will be given an prompt asking where you want it saved and do you want to link it to the Sharepoint list. Hit Ok. This will open the Access datbase for you.I have used this solution for our HR department to generate a couple of different reports and then link it to the other HR data so they only have to maintain one location.I would like to test it on a Sharepoint 2007 or 2010 services or MOSS but have not had the opportunity yet.
