Taurus Revolver Serial Number Lookup
Hi guys,I have a.38 5 shot Taurus Model 85 revolver w/ a 2' barrel. It has black fixed sights. The front sight is a ramp-type sight and the rear sight is a v-notch type. Its serial number is JC69222.
It was made in Brazil and imported through Taurus International in Miami. I bought it new in Texas while I was deployed there in early 1991. I expect it was manufactured in 1990 or 1991. It still looks brand new.
It has only had about 10 rounds through it since I've owned it. I still have the box and associated paperwork. The box is in good condition considering it's 17 years old. The paperwork still looks brand new.
