I can't find any way to disable adaptive contrast on the SB2. Just to be clear, this is not adaptive brightness. Hi Mark,Interesting, this sounds very much like what I posted on this thread:I'd be curious if what you are talking about is the same thing. As you will read, what I found seems to occur on the whole surface line too. If it is the same issue, if you connect the power to the SB2, do you still see it?

I do not (again, assuming sameissue).I am working with Microsoft Tech Support / Engineering on the issue I reported and hope to have an answer to what will be done with the issue. I will post the answer I get as soon as I get one on my thread. They are in touch with me once a week until ananswer comes along.I will also be curious what Erwin comes up with (Microsoft person who responded to you).Anyway, I would appreciate it if you could let me know if you think it is same issue.Thanks,-DM51. Hey DM51, thanks for the heads up on the other thread you started.Yeah, that sounds like it's the same thing i've got. The thing is, searching through posts on this forum and on reddit from the past few years brings up people describing the same issue, and it's not just specifically surface book 2, but other surface lineproducts. Microsoft should know about this already from other people posting, and other tech support people from Microsoft trying to work through it with them. Which just leaves me dumbfounded that it still hasn't been resolved.I'll put a quick post on your thread to add to the list of people reporting it there too, but would be surprised if this is the time Microsoft actually does something about it.
